Morgan Wallen was apprehended by authorities following an incident where he allegedly tossed a chair from the rooftop of a Nashville bar, as reported by police.
Wallen, aged 30, reportedly hurled the chair from Chief's, a new bar owned by country singer Eric Church, according to authorities. The chair landed perilously near two police officers, as per reports.
Country artist Morgan Wallen was taken into custody for reckless endangerment charges after allegedly throwing a chair from the rooftop of a six-story bar located in Nashville's bustling Broadway district on Sunday night, according to police.
Wallen, aged 30, was arrested early Monday on three counts of felony reckless endangerment and one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct, as stated by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.
The incident occurred at Chief's, a new bar owned by fellow country singer Eric Church, where the chair fell near two police officers stationed on Broadway, law enforcement officials said.
According to his arrest affidavit, video footage from the rooftop captured Wallen "lunging and throwing an object over the roof." Witnesses corroborated this account, stating they observed Wallen picking up the chair and tossing it over him, followed by laughter.
Arrested around 12:30 a.m. Monday, Wallen's bond was set at $15,250, and he was released approximately three hours later, according to online Davidson County Jail records.
Wallen's attorney, Worrick Robinson, informed NBC News that Wallen is "cooperating fully with authorities" subsequent to his arrest.
